We all have those things that we just can’t live without. You know, those favorite things that you always gift for holidays, birthdays, or just because. I think a person’s favorite things tells a lot about them. Their interest, hobbies and priority. “What are your top 3 favorite things?” is my go-to question when getting to know someone.
Answers can’t include family, friends, kids, or career. They have to be the things that bring you joy outside of that. Outside of my family and traveling, these are a few of my favorite things

My top 5 favorite things
coffee
Coffee is hands down my favorite thing. I can drink it any time of day. Iced or hot, it doesn’t matter. The best conversations always happen over a fresh cup a coffee. Even my kids understand my love for coffee. When we play pretend, it always involves coffee for mom. They also help me find the best coffee shops when we travel to new cities.

reading
I love to get lost in a good book. My favorite genres are chick lit, romance, crime, mystery, and Christian. Anything with a good storyline that is easy to follow. I’m really excited to dive into some classic stories this year.
In my opinion, physical books are better than e-books. Turning the pages and seeing my progress brings me so much joy. I could spend hours at a bookstore or the library checking out books.
If you’re a reader like me, let’s get connected on Goodreads and share book recommendations.
avocado toast
Avocado toast with everything seasoning and egg might be my favorite anytime meal. But, it has to be on think artisan bread. Picky much. It’s the one thing I get the most random cravings for.
My love for avocado toast started a couple of years ago when we were visiting Savannah, Georgia. We stumbled upon this adorable superfoods cafe and yoga studio. Their menu consisted of different toasts and acai bowls. Neither of which I had ever had before. That was the start of my love for smoothie bowls and avocado toast.
dark chocolate
Give me all things dark chocolate. Dark chocolate mixed with sea salt, caramel, nuts, or peppermint…delicious. The holidays are my favorite when can find boxes of all the different kinds of chocolates. I mean, you can find them all year, but they are more fun at Christmas.
Christmas
Speaking of Christmas treats, Christmas is one of my top five favorite things. I adore everything about Christmas. That nostalgic and romantic feeling that all the Christmas lights bring. And the hallmark movies. I could sit in the dark, next to my tree, watching hallmark movies and sipping hot coffee all day everyday.
Christmas can be a challenging season for some people. I get it. I used to be one of those people. Since becoming an adult, getting married, and having kids, my perspective of the season has totally shifted. Instead of dread, I now feel joy. We have created beautiful memories and traditions that make my heart want to explode each and every year.
