Best RVs for Families
RV living is becoming increasingly more popular for many families. Not only is it a more affordable living arrangement, it is giving families a chance to change the narrative. In a world that is encouraging us to hustle, RV living allows families to slow down and invest in each other.
Whether your a couple without kids or a family with multiple children, RV living can still be feasible with the right RV. But the question is…what RVs are best for families?
The simple answer: the one that fits your families needs. The hard part is, that answer isn’t simple or the same for every family. Go read 13 Questions To Ask Before Buying an RV before you start your search. We spent hours and hours researching layouts and touring RVs before buying our fifth wheel. I’m sharing my favorite layouts for families.
Fifth Wheels
In my personal opinion, fifth wheels make the best home on wheels for full-time families. They are spacious, with high ceilings and extra storage. There are so many layouts that can fit the needs of any family. Before buying a fifth wheel, do you homework. They require a larger trucker with a gooseneck hitch.
We have lived in a travel trailer and a fifth wheel now and I definitely recommend fifth wheels for full-time families. I’m partial to the Keystone Sprinter, because that’s the model we have. The layout is great for our family of four. You can find out why we love it HERE.

Toy Haulers
Toy haulers are great for so many reasons. Of course, they are great for hauling all of your toys. Like golf carts, four wheelers, kayaks, and all the adventurous stuff. But, for full-time families they can be great for additional living space. There are so many ways to renovate the back space to make it permanently livable.
Toy Haulers can give you a great outdoor patio anywhere you stay. They are also great for families who have pets that like the outdoors.
This is another one of those RVs you really want to do your homework before buying. They are heavy and require a large truck to pull. If there is something specific you want to haul, you want to make sure the model can fit whatever it is you want in there.

Motorhomes
And now for the most expensive home on wheels, the motorhome. Personally, I don’t have a lot of experience with motorhomes. I’ve toured a few, researched a bunch, and found that the most family friendly for full-time rv living is a class A motorhome. They are the largest and offer the best floorplans.
Motorhomes are great for the families who intend to travel a lot. Just like a car, they need to be started/driven frequently. So, if you’re not planning to travel a lot, I would consider something el
