Happy New Year!
After a short break, it’s about time I introduce myself. What better way to kick off 2022 right?!
If you’ve been around for awhile or follow me on social media, you might know a thing or two about me. But if you’re new here, these fun facts will give you a little idea of who I am. Maybe we even have a few things in common! This space is all about building community and relationships with one another. Enjoy learning a little bit about me and leave a comment so I can get to know you.

7 Things About Me You Should Know
1. Christmas is my favorite holiday
There is something so magical about Christmastime. For our family, it’s all about spending time together and making memories. Most of my favorite memories come from our Christmas vacations. It’s my absolute favorite Christmas tradition. Instead of gifts, we go on vacation. I think it’s fun to wake up Christmas morning in a new place each year.

2. A good book is best enjoyed in a hammock or on the beach
I love to read. Romance, Fiction, Mystery, Crime…doesn’t matter. I could get lost in a good book for hours. But, in my opinion, the best place to read is in a hammock or on the beach.
Winters in Florida are the absolute best. I could spend days at a time swinging in my hammock, reading a book, and watching the kids play around the farm. Comment your favorite books for me to check out this winter!
3. Summer is my least favorite season
Hear me out, I love what summer stands for. Long days, carefree nights, sunkissed skin. But I live in south Florida and those 100º+ days and high humidity are dreadful. Add responsibilities and chasing around tiny humans to the mix…I’d rather not participate.

4. I desire to be a Pinterest mom, but lack the motivation
I love scrolling Pinterest and seeing those homemade crafts, delicious meals, and coordinating outfits. It’s truly inspiring. I would love to be that mom. But the reality is, that takes a lot of effort and I just don’t have it in me right now.
Maybe I’ll get there as the kids get older. Or maybe I won’t. At the end of the day, it’s the thought that counts, right?!
5. My love language is acts of service
Make me dinner. Clean my house. Fold my laundry. Fill up my car. Take out the trash. Do the dishes. Those are the ways to my heart. After becoming a mom, I realized how much I value acts of service.
As a 2 on the enneagram, I’m a helper and show love the best by serving others. I’m quick to offer my help, but slow to accept help. Receiving help without asking goes a long way in my book.
6. I’m probably the worst blogger around
Great bloggers have a plan. I, on the other hand, am terrible at planning content, sticking to a schedule, and at times staying motivated. Also, I don’t curate my life for content. My everyday life is my content and that’s not interesting to everyone.
But, that’s okay!
There is a need for everyone in this space. We need people who curate their lives, create pretty things, and give us something to reach for. We also need people, like me, who share real life. A lifestyle attainable for everyone.
7. Breakfast foods are best eaten any time of day
Eggs and bacon, yogurt parfaits, french toast with fresh fruit…get in my belly. I love breakfast foods and would eat them any time of day. My husband, on the other hand, is not that into it. Unfortunately for him, I’m raising tiny humans who know what’s good. They take after their mama with their choice of breakfast for dinner.
