You’ll never see me traveling without coffee and snacks. Let’s be real, I don’t go anywhere without coffee. But snacks is a close second. I have anxiety when I travel, which often causes me to get an upset stomach. I try to counteract that with healthy snack choices. Check how my favorite travel products to see how I travel with my favorite snacks.

Favorite Travel Snacks
1. Trail Mix
A good trail mix is key to any travel day. My favorite is the peanut butter monster trail mix from Target. Second best would be trail mix with dried fruit and nuts. The Good & Gather cashew cranberry almond is delicious. If you’re extra, which I am not, make your own! Throw all of your favorite sweet and salty snacks together and call it a day. Put it in a reusable snack bag and take it with you. It will stay fresh your whole trip.
2. Nuts
Nuts are a great healthy snack, loaded with protein, and will keep you feeling full. I love honey roasted peanuts, cocoa roasted almonds, or pistachios. Can you tell I like sweet snacks?
I’m always cautious about taking nuts on an airplane. You never know if you will be sitting around someone with a nut allergy. Always ask and have a second option as a back up.
3. Fresh or Dried Fruit
My preference is always fresh fruit. But depending on how/where you’re traveling, this might not be an option. If you’re road trippin’, bento boxes or glass jars are great for bringing fresh fruit. My go-to to is apples and peanut butter, mixed berries, or pears.
When fresh isn’t an option, I love freeze dried apples, dried mango, or dried pineapple.
4. Pretzels
Pretzels are a great salty snack and easy on the stomach if you get motion sickness while traveling. They have no smell, I can snack on them off and on, and they are delicious. I literally never get on an airplane without them. I know it’s weird. But it’s a comfort thing. I really don’t enjoy flying.
5. Dark Chocolate
I’m obsessed with dark chocolate, especially with nuts or sea salt. It’s my guilty pleasure. Dark chocolate is the perfect sweet treat whenever I need on. As an added bonus, my husband hates dark chocolate so I never have to share.
6. Peanut Butter Crackers
It wouldn’t be a trip without the classic peanut butter crackers. This is another one of those snacks that are great if you get motion sickness. They are easy on the stomach and something you can eat slowly. Crackers are also filling and perfect for long trips. These are my kid’s favorite, so we never travel without them.
